Principal's Message
Hello Moulton Families,
I’d like to welcome our new and returning families to Moulton Elementary for another great year! This year’s theme is, “Who do I want to BEE in ‘22 - ‘23?” All throughout the year, we will incorporate our theme in many of our school functions and activities. Our students will be asked to reflect on the type of scholar, friend, and person they want to “BEE” this year. We can’t wait to see all the innovative ways our students and teachers will incorporate our “BEE” theme in their learning.
This year, we will kick-off Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a system approach for establishing a social and behavioral culture that supports a positive learning environment for all students. Students will be taught positive social & academic behaviors and receive individualized intervention when necessary. Students will be acknowledged for positive behavior by earning SOARING HAWK tickets and receiving fun incentives in their classrooms. Our PBIS team consisting of school staff and parents will help implement and monitor the effectiveness of PBIS at monthly meetings.
Please consider joining our PTA! We have a wonderful group of parents who are eagerly planning family events for our school community. Please visit the PTA website to find out how you can support our school.
On behalf of our school community, I’d like to wish our students, parents and staff a wonderful school year. It’s bound to “BEE” amazing!
Best,
José Luis Pedraza
